Cat Boat – Handmade Cat Basket from Organic Cotton Yarn


Are you looking for a unique and cozy resting place for your cat? My Cat Boat is the perfect choice. With its special elongated shape – design protected by the German Patent Office (DPMA) – it offers comfort, safety and a stylish look for your home.


The raised edges provide a sense of security, while the soft filling makes it an ideal spot for napping and lounging. Whether on a wide windowsill, a sideboard, or on the floor – it will quickly become your cat’s favorite place.

  • Handmade in my small workshop in Lower Saxony, Germany
  • Outer layer: organic cotton, inner filling: soft polyester fiber
  • Yarn certified GOTS & Oeko-Tex Standard 100
  • Approx. size tolerance +/- 5 cm

         • Bow & stern: approx. 17–20 cm high

         • Sides: approx. 11–13 cm high


  • Colors available as shown in the gallery
  • Each boat is a unique piece – no mass production



Care :

Machine washable at 30 °C (delicate cycle). Please avoid aggressive detergents.

I try to process orders as quickly as possible. I usually ship the ordered items within 4-14 days. However, it can sometimes take longer. This happens if your desired yarn color is currently out of stock and I'm waiting for a restock, or if I've just received a large number of orders. Since I only have two hands, I process each order in order.

Raw materials:

I select my raw materials with particular care. My yarns are either certified organic cotton, certified according to both GOTS and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, or made from recycled cotton and recycled fibers. The new wool toys I currently have are made from mulesing-free new wool from free-range sheep. The sheep live freely in the Tyrolean mountains and are driven down to the valley once a year for shearing. New wool products will only be available until my wool supply is exhausted. After that, I will only offer vegan products.
