About me

I'm Karena and I lovingly make baskets, caves, toys, accessories and home accessories for you and your four-legged friends. I have always made many things for my animals myself. This was then intensified by my mobile animal care (I gave up in 2020 due to lack of time) and the start of my animal psychology studies. I made more cat toys because I volunteered for an animal shelter. Because I also had felting wool here, I simply tried to create something basket-like with it, which ended up being my basket and pretty quickly wild variants of caves, like my oriental cave (no longer exists ) offered for sale. The toys and then later also the baskets and caves were already available on my mobile animal care homepage. Then I opened my Etsy shop and then later in December 2019 this shop here. I hope that you and your four-legged friends like my creations.
Each item can look a little different and is therefore always unique.
My 2 hard-working testers Oskar and Anton (my 2 cats) always examine everything very carefully. And not only that, they also constantly appropriate new baskets and caves without being asked, which should actually be for sale. Those who follow me on Instagram (petlovede) have probably already noticed :))

You can also find my cat behavioral counseling services here. My training as an animal psychologist, which I successfully completed in early 2019, dealt equally with cats, dogs and horses, as well as advice on keeping rodents (hamsters, rats, mice, chinchillas and degus). However, I don't have horses or dogs myself (I've had foster horses and dogs for years), and also guinea pigs for 20 years, although I only offer cat counseling at the moment. I try to process orders as quickly as possible. I usually send the ordered items within 1-3 weeks. But sometimes it can take longer. But that's usually only because I've run out of wool, or if it's a more complicated piece, like the oriental cave or woven baskets made of wicker/wicker.

Raw materials:

I select the raw materials with particular care and, if possible, from Germany. The processed wool comes from mulesing-free, species-appropriate husbandry in Germany and Austria.
New wool may only be labeled as such if it comes from living animals that are shorn once a year. The processed vegan yarns are all made from either 100% recycled cotton and fibers that are made in Europe or from organic cotton.
