“Gustav” – Handmade Cat & Dog Cave in XXL Organic Cotton Yarn

Looking for a cozy retreat for your cat or small dog?

The Gustav cave combines comfort, style, and sustainability. Whether as a cat cave, dog cave, pet bed or basket, Gustav offers a safe and soft space for your beloved companion – and adds a design highlight to your home.

Each cave is individually handcrafted in my small manufactory in Lower Saxony. Thanks to its patented design, every Gustav cave is a one-of-a-kind piece.

The yarn consists of an organic cotton knitted tube, filled with premium polyester hollow fibers. Certified by GOTS and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, it is completely free of harmful substances and safe even for sensitive pets.

The structure is elastic and soft. From size 3XL upwards, the cave becomes more like a sleeping bag, as the stitch structure can no longer provide full stability at that scale.

• XS: 20 cm

• S: 25 cm

• M: 30 cm

• L: 35 cm

• XL: 40 cm

• XXL: 45 cm

• XXXL: 50 cm

• XXXXL: 55 cm

Outer size approx. 10–15 cm larger.

Care:

Machine washable at 30 °C gentle cycle. Do not wash hotter to avoid shrinking or fading.

Note on shape:

The caves are soft and flexible, not rigid. Especially in larger sizes, they may lose form if pets play on top. Simply reshape them to restore their look.
